Imperial War Museum, Duxford - near to Cambridge and holding one of the largest collections of World War II fighter planes and bombers still flying. Click here to watch a video of a Boeing 747 displaying at the Centenary of Flight Airshow in 2003

La Coupole, France - a World War II launching site for V2 rockets built into a mountain - chilling to visit

Vimy Ridge , Canadian War Memorial, France - a World War I site where thousands of German and Allied soldiers died fighting over the hill that overlooks the town of Arras. Having visited this most sombre of places, this site gives a Canadian visitor's view.

Angler's Paradise, Devon - a secluded family run holiday and angling business where we've been a couple of times before. Great accommodation, great fishing and great company
